A visit to the new station
and city hall of Växjö

Our product team visited one of the most exciting buildings in Växjö – the new station and city hall. We are the supplier of all air handling units for this project.

During its 200th recorded meeting, our product team visited the construction site that will become the new station and city hall of Växjö, Sweden. On site, they had a chance to look at both the air handling units and the impressive wooden structure that is beginning to take shape. As IV Produkt has grown, the team responsible for the development of our products has been expanded with new talent. However, one member stands out by having been present ever since the first meeting on the 9th of March in 1994!

Unique building with focus on indoor climate

On a wooden framework and with a facade made of glass, the new station and city hall of Växjö will be finished in early 2021. The 16 400 sqm building will house 600 workplaces. The idea is that it will be thought of as "Växjö's living room" – a social gathering place for residents and travellers.

Of course, a pleasant indoor climate is of utmost importance. The building will house offices, restaurants, shops, public spaces and a garage, so a flexible solution for ventilation and air handling units with large air flows are required. The products we deliver include two Envistar Flex units, which both deliver up to 5 m3 of air per second. They are both equipped with counter-flow heat exchangers and our patented Optimised Defrosting System – ODS.
