Control system functions
Compiled information regarding troubleshooting, instructions and communication for control system functions.
Fans, dampers and heat recovery are controlled with Siemens Climatix – a proven and reliable system. The configuration is flexible, and we also offer external communication to higher-level systems as well as support for IV Produkt Cloud.

Fans and air flow
The fans are controlled via internal communication, and current operating values are displayed on the hand terminal. Fan stages can be controlled by time schedules, an overriding BMS system or an external control input. There is also the option for fan compensation based on temperature, humidity or air quality. The choice of control type is adapted to external conditions, such as mixing dampers, VAV systems, room type and duct system.

Temperature control
The air handling unit can be controlled in several ways to regulate the indoor temperature. The goal is usually to maintain a comfortable indoor climate based on the room’s conditions and requirements, while optimising operating economy.
Examples of temperature control:
- Supply air control – the supply air temperature is kept constant.
- Extract air control – the unit maintains the extract air temperature.

Communication
There are several options for controlling and monitoring our air handling units remotely. In addition to our cloud service IV Produkt Cloud, which only requires an internet connection, the units can be integrated into a supervisory system via Modbus and BACnet. The IV Produkt AHU Controls app is also available for wireless adjustment using your smartphone via an internal Wi-Fi network or a Wi-Fi router in the unit.

Integrated cooling and heat pump
Our integrated cooling units and reversible heat pumps EcoCooler and ThermoCooler HP are controlled steplessly via internal communication, and current operating values are displayed on the hand-held terminal. In addition to simplified and more cost-effective installations, an integrated cooling unit or heat pump makes it easier to optimise comfort and energy efficiency.

Heat recovery
Heat recovery is used to heat the premises by recovering as much as possible of the heat from the air that is being ventilated out. The method of heat recovery is chosen based on energy efficiency and the specific needs of the premises.
Examples of heat exchangers:
- Rotary heat exchanger
- Counter-flow heat exchanger
- Plate heat exchanger
- Coil heat exchanger
